Vinous Neal Martin - 05 Jan 23
The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Les Borniques 1er Cru, one and a half barrels, has quite a feisty bouquet with just a touch more VA here than others. The palate is well balanced with a pastille-like entry, fine structure but just missing a little complexity and finesse on the finish.

Chambolle-Musigny

Chambolle-Musigny, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is renowned for its elegant, aromatic Pinot Noir wines. Known for their finesse and complex aromas of red berries, violets, and earth, these wines are often described as the most "feminine" of Burgundy. The appellation's two Grand Cru vineyards, Bonnes Mares and Musigny, produce highly sought-after wines with depth and ageing potential. Notable producers include Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, Domaine Georges Roumier, and Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier, all celebrated for their refined winemaking.
